HOW TO WATCH VIDEOS

How do you watch PURORESU videos ? This is very serious problem for wrestling fans.

Frankly speaking, you can buy many official PURORESU videos from Amazon Japan. But Amazon Japan is a Japanese site, and you need to use a Japanese web browser. And besides you have to learn Japanese. (Incidentally, Japanese is the most difficult language in the world.)

THE FATHER OF PURORESU

PURORESU was created by Rikidozan.

Rikidozan had been a famous sumo wrestler. He turned to pro-wrestling in the early 50's. He trained in Hawaii and fought against many great wrestlers in USA. When he went back to Japan, he established JAPAN PRO-WRESTLING.

That new field and Rikidozan's wonderful fights made Japanese people wild with excitement. Rikidozan wrested International Championship from Lou Thesz, and he got WWA champion's belt. He invited many famous wrestlers from USA.

But in 1963, Rikidozan was stabbed by ruffian, and died.


TWO SUPERSTARS REVIVED PURORESU WORLD

After the death of Rikidozan, PURORESU world was confused very much. But before long, two young wrestlers became big stars, and they created new PURORESU boom. Their name were Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki. They were good rivals and good friends, but some troubles estranged them in 1971.

Giant Baba established ALL JAPAN PRO-WRESTLING. Baba invited many famous wrestlers from NWA. He won the NWA championship three times. His rivals were Harley Race, The Funks, and Abdullah The Butcher.

Antonio Inoki established NEW JAPAN PRO-WRESTLING. Inoki couldn't join hands with NWA, but he thought out unique plans. He fought against Muhammad Ali and Willem Ruska. His rivals were Tiger Jeet Singh and Stan Hansen.


STARS OF NEW GENERATION

The new star of ALL JAPAN was Jumbo Tsuruta. He wrested International championship from Bruiser Brody, and he won the AWA championship. Baba was already a veteran, and he showed wonderful fights with Hansen.

Inoki's pupils, Fujinami, Chosyu, and Tiger Mask created a wrestling boom in the 80's. Inoki fought hard with Hulk Hogan, Vader, and Brody.
